WB Engineers Appoints Industry Veteran Edward Moore to Head Its Building Commissioning Service
February 2008
New York-based WB Engineers | Consultants has named Edward Moore, P.E., a senior associate in charge of the firm’s building commissioning services.
Building commissioning is the systematic process of ensuring that a structure meets the owner’s project requirements and the engineering and architectural firms’ design. It has increased in popularity since the United States Green Building Council deemed it a prerequisite for achieving LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
Mr. Moore, who has over 20 years of hands-on operations experience, will help WB Engineers fulfill the growing demand for this service.
“Ed’s valuable field experience and leadership qualities will certainly enhance WB’s commissioning group,” says David Bonifacic. “We look forward to his contribution in growing the operational component of our design service.”
Mr. Moore was previously employed by Keyspan Energy, where he worked in engineering and in operations, outage and controls management. His most recent commissioning project was for the 1.2-million-square-foot New York Times building in Midtown Manhattan. |
