WB is currently providing commissioning services for Kaplan Hall, a new 89,000 sq. ft., three story building at SUNY Orange County Community College. The project has been registered with the US Green Building Council and is being designed per the LEED certification requirements.
WB is performing all enhanced commissioning duties described in the USGBC, LEED for New Construction rating system Version 2.2; our services include:
- Design review including review of the Owner’s Project requirements, Basis of Design and all mid-construction mechanical, electrical, renewable energy and plumbing design documents.
- Development of a commissioning plan outlining all systems which will be commissioned and the documentation requirements for each.
- Coordination of the commissioning tasks with the projects schedule.
- Verification and understanding of the original design intent.
- Development and review of testing procedures.
- Weekly on-site construction inspections to verify the contractor’s compliance with the contract documents.
- Supervision of operations staff training.
- Monitoring the testing procedures verify contractor’s results.
- Preparation of an Operations Manual for all commissioned equipment.
- Verification of the completeness of the installed systems documentation and commissioning data. This information will be presented in a final report.
