WB provided engineering services for the installation of: a new hydraulic elevator in the facility, a new 1,200 sq. ft. pharmacy and a new bulk gas storage system for the hospital.
Elevator: WB provided HVAC, fire protection, and fire alarm design for the installation of a new hydraulic elevator to serve the five story building. This project required close coordination with the architect and the hospital facility management team to install this equipment in an existing facility because of limited space conditions. The new elevator makes critical areas of the hospital more accessible to patients and staff.
Pharmacy: WB provided mechanical, fire protection, and fire alarm design for the installation of a new pharmacy to serve the hospital's needs. The space conditions were extremely tight in the construction of the new pharmacy. This included a vertical, split air conditioning unit located within the pharmacy, and a new sprinkler system and fire alarm system tied in to the existing hospital fire alarm system. This project required close coordination with the pharmacy equipment vendor and the hospital facility management team.
Bulk Gas Storage Facility: This project included the design of a new bulk gas storage system to replace an existing temporary facility. These new 5,000 gallon pressurized vessels centralized the gas distribution for the facility. This required close coordination since the gas supply to the hospital could not be interrupted.
