WB analyzed possible causes for the failure of the Harmonic Filter/Variable Frequency Drive in a chiller at Mass General Hospital. After reviewing harmonic measurements made on the electrical system, WB determined that the failure of the VFD was not caused by faulty building power, as the vendor had claimed, but by a malfunction within the VFD.
