WB provided mechanical engineering and design services for the new HVAC system serving the 40 guest rooms at the historic Main Inn at Chatham Bars Inn. Chatham Bars Inn and Resort is New England’s premier oceanfront holiday retreat and a celebrated landmark.
WB’s scope of services included the following:
- Design of a new four pipe HVAC system with fan coil units in each guest room.
- Survey of the existing HVAC system on the first floor and analysis of the existing equipment serving the space. WB made recommendations for new equipment or modifications to the existing equipment to increase performance.
- Design of a new 60-ton capacity chiller plant and hot/chilled water distribution to the guest rooms.
- Modifications the existing boiler control system to operate on
outdoor air reset.
- Design of a new control system for guest rooms.
