Verizon - 1095 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY
After selling their New York City headquarters building, Verizon hired WB to lead a team of architects and engineers to consolidate Verizon's operations to the six floors they retained in the sale. The six floors needed to have dedicated systems serving only these floors without tapping into the base building systems. In order to make them completely independent, we designed a new standby generator and dedicated chiller as well as isolated the electrical services to these floors.
WB also managed the commissioning process for this project. The team successfully tested all of the MEP equipment without any downtime.
The challenge of this project was in meeting the aggressive project deadlines as well as completing this project while maintaining functioning systems to the rest of the building. |
