Verizon - Emergency Generator, New York, NY
This complex project involved replacing the existing emergency generators with new generators and upgrading the existing electrical service facilities critical to Verizon's core business. WB first evaluated the existing infrastructure, tested the electrical feeders and in collaboration the end users, developed the long range electrical requirements and equipment for the facility.
The most challenging aspect of these projects was that the new equipment had to be phased into existing facilities without shutting down any of the systems. By utilizing temporary generators, providing on site supervision and closely coordinating with Con Edison, WB was able to complete this project without even a minute of downtime.
